Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort &Spa announced Tuesday that the tourist destination will be adding a SurfStream wave machine to the Ponte Vedra Beach site in April. The machine, manufactured by American Wave Machines, actually generates what’s called a “standing wave” in a small pool that keeps the “curl” of the wave going in one place. While water rushes along the bottom of a pool surface, the wave that buckles up from the force of the rushing water remains in place.
