Tavis Smiley at Fort Lauderdale Book Fest

Tavis Smiley has established a varied career as a broadcaster, author, publisher, advocate and philanthropist. Host of the late-night talk show “Tavis Smiley” on PBS and “The Tavis Smiley Show” on Public Radio International, Smiley also is the author 18 books. His latest book is “My Journey with Maya,” a memoir of his 28-year friendship with the late Maya Angelou.
