Almost 30 local farms opened to the public Sunday, giving the community a chance to meet the people who make it possible to eat local.

The annual event, called Tour de Farm, is hosted by Slow Food First Coast, an organization that aims to reconnect people with the “traditions, plants, animals, fertile soils and waters” that work together to produce the food they eat, according to the website.
