St. Augustine Playwright to Perform at Temple Bet Yam

Playwright Lee Weaver will perform his original play, “The Witness,” at 3 p.m. June 14 at Temple Bet Yam, 2055 Wildwood Drive.The play is a historically true and provocative presentation of the civil right struggles in the turbulent ‘60s.“The Witness” is the story of “Bo,” a 69-year-old former self-confessed racist, born and raised in St. Augustine, Florida, who tells his story of the struggle for civil rights in America, particularly in St. Augustine.
