There are plenty of golf tournaments for card-carrying professional golfers. But only four are commonly regarded as “The Majors”. These are also known collectively as the Grand Slam that supremely gifted golfers dream about – starting in April with a win at the Masters, followed by a victory at the U.S. Open in June, an encore at The British Open in July, culminating with a coronation at The PGA Championship in August.That would not be a good year. It would be a historic career. Not since Bobby Jones in 1930 has that dream come true all in one year.
