This summer, you can bring man’s best friend for a dip in Hallandale Beach’s ocean as the city is hosting Dog Dayz of Summer at South City Beach Park.”Usually, dogs are prohibited from our beaches,” said Cathie Schanz, the city’s parks and recreation director. “This is an opportunity to bring your dog to the beach and let them play in the surf and sand.” Dog Dayz are planned for 6 to 8 p.m. on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month through August. The event is open to residents and nonresidents, but participants are limited to one dog per owner.
