Forbes’ five-star designation was only awarded to properties in Miami, Naples and Palm Beach while Amelia Island, Fort Lauderdale, Jacksonville, Orlando, Sarasota and Tampa as well as the Panhandle had venues nabbing four-star ratings. A third tier of rating, the “recommended” rating, was also announced. The Florida Keys as well as venues in many of the other Florida cities were recognized in this bronze-medalesque category.
