First Transgender Festival TransArt Visits Miami Beach

Talk about timely. A collection of works created by South Florida transgender artists is a highlight of the inaugural TransArt festival, taking over the Betsy – South Beach hotel and nearby LGBT Visitor Center June 11 to July 12. The gathering, created by Miami-based nonprofit Unity Coalition, will serve up cocktail receptions, theater performances, panels, documentary screenings and lectures throughout the month that celebrate and raise awareness for local transgender creatives.
