I recently discovered that Daytona Beach had a ‘Town Dog’ who showed up out of the blue one day in 1940, and that he was so well loved by the local community that when he died of old age in 1954, he was laid to rest in a beautiful grave at Riverfront Park. I reached out to Fayn LeVeille, Director Halifax Historical Museum to see if she had any information on Brownie and she did, plus she also used to play with Brownie when she was a child! So I went along to meet her, visit Brownie’s grave, and see what else I could find out.
