Monday was International Surfing Day, but volunteers honoring the event at Delray Beach opted to spend it cleaning up the shore instead of riding the waves.Saturday, about 25 volunteers showed up with buckets and gloves, and pooled their efforts to clean up 96 pounds of trash from the stretch of beach between Ocean Terrace and Miramar Drive.
