Toffee Love on Amelia Island

Amelia Island, Fla., is best known as a shrimping capital, but the Northeast Florida city, which some say is older than St. Augustine, is fast becoming known for its culinary creations.Case in point, “Amelia Toffee,’’ Anita Comisky’s new confection that has been a hot since it debuted this past July. Fans love the consistency ~not too hard ~ just the right firmness and the fact the toffee it melts in their mouths.
