Representing an 80-mile stretch of the Florida Keys—from Islamorada to Key West—will be the Florida Keys Sculpture Trail, featuring eight works from the Art Students League of New York’s Model to Monument Program. The idea began when two Key West philanthropists, John Padget and Jacob Dekker, saw the sculptures in New York City in 2016. It was a collaborative effort between the Monroe County Board of County Commissioners, the County’s Art in Public Places Committee and Elizabeth Young, Executive Director of the Florida Keys Council of the Arts.
