The Best Snorkeling From The Shore in Marathon

Snorkeling from the shore is not the norm in the Florida Keys. Vacationers buy their equipment from beach-side vendors — or from Walgreens on Duval or CVS on Truma in Key West, where the prices are typically much lower — and practice off the beaches, but there is little if anything to see. That said, there are some beach snorkeling opportunities around Marathon that can be quite rewarding.
