Crystal Cooper’s birthday on St. Patrick’s Day “is always a fun time,” she says. Friday, the Cocoa Beach resident, now 34, made it a little extra special by announcing she and her surf brand, Salty Sweet, will be keeping the Easter surfing tradition alive this year after a 52-year run appeared to be coming to an end. “I’m just honored to keep it alive,” said Cooper, who had competed in the former Easter Surf Fest for about 20 years.
