St. Johns County has officially bid adieu to sea turtle nesting season and a fruitful one at that. Thanks to the persistency of instinct and a slew of good-hearted volunteers, nesting numbers in the county are on the rise again. And despite Hurricane Matthew’s powerful punch to Northeast Florida, the way of the turtle prevails.
