Right Whale Festival Surfaces Saturday in Jacksonville Beach

The eighth annual Right Whale Festival starts at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, at the Seawalk Pavilion, 75 N. 1st. St. in Jacksonville Beach. NOAA Fisheries, Sea to Shore Alliance and other partners are hosting the free family event to celebrate the endangered North Atlantic right whale’s upcoming return to northeast Florida. North Atlantic right whale calving season begins in mid-November and runs through mid-April.
