Speaking onstage Tuesday night at the Fillmore Miami Beach, Iggy Pop didn’t sound well. His voice, one of the great bottom-dwellers in rock ‘n’ roll, bore more grit than usual, the result, he said, of traveling north of Florida and catching a cold. “I’m doing the best I can,” he apologized. He needn’t have. For two hours and through 22 songs, Pop fought back against illness, time and age — the singer will turn 69 on April 21 — with a performance that summoned not only the raw power of his youth, but also glories past and present.
