Santa on a surfboard, palm trees wrapped in lights, reindeer decorations made from palm fronds – and holiday boat parades, this is Christmas in Florida.

To participate
Boats Must be decorated, have operable regulation running lights, be able to travel under power (5 knots), the full distance from the Cimmaron Basin to the Grand Haven Gazebo and back. Each boat must be equipped with a VHF radio, proof of registration and insurance.

Boat parade facts
When: 6 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 5 (rain date: Sunday Dec. 6)
Route: Boats will gather in the Cimmaron Basin and head east to the ICW. Turning south the parade will pass the Tidelands, Canopy Walk, St. Joe Walkway, Waterfront Park and Island Estates before turning around at the Grand Haven Gazebo for the return trip.
