Note to Beachgoers in Hollywood with Canopy Tents: You’re Getting Your Own Section on the Sand

The new tent zone, behind the lifeguard stands and at least 10 feet east of the Broadwalk, won final approval Wednesday with a unanimous vote by the city commission. The new rules prohibit tents larger than 10-by-10 feet and umbrellas bigger than 10 feet in diameter and will be enforced by police officers and park rangers.
