Lionfish Day Sees More than 14,000 Pulled from Florida Waters

According to Lionfish.com, the species causes problems because it “can eat prey over half the size of their own body” and are known to have eaten more than 70 different species so far. The site added that “a single lionfish can reduce native marine creatures by 80-to-90 percent within just five weeks.”
