Jax Beer Week, a celebration of craft brewing in the Jacksonville area, is set for Nov. 7-14.

While the schedule is still a bit in flux, there are anchors on each end and quite a bit of stuff in between.

Nov. 12
Khris Johnson of Green Bench Brewing discusses the science behind barrel aging and using wild yeast to condition beer. 6:30 p.m., Alewife. Tickets are $22.

Cigar City beer tapping, including Hunahpu’s Imperial Stout, Marshal Zhukov’s Imperial Stout and other beers, meads and ciders from the Tampa brewery. 6 p.m. at Poe’s Tavern, Atlantic Beach.

$8 MaB refill special, 5 p.m.-midnight, Engine 15 Jacksonville Beach. Bring your MaB stein or buy one there.

Proof Brewing tapping at Grape & Grain Exchange, San Marco, 5 p.m.-7 p.m.; again at Kickbacks Gastropub from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Nov. 13
Intuition Ale Works will open the brewery bar at 5 p.m. to serve guest beers from the “four corners of Florida,” including Wynwood Brewing (Miami), Proof Brewing (Tallahassee), Cigar City Brewing (Tampa), and Jacksonville’s Engine 15 and Aardwolf Brewing.

Nov. 14
JBW wrap-up brunch at Brew Five Points, featuring Aardwolf Brewing beer and beer cocktails.

Florida Brewers Guild Barrel-Aged and Sour Fest scheduled for Nov. 14 at Intuition, featuring a variety of mouth-puckering and oaky/boozy beers from more than a dozen local and Florida craft breweries. The event runs from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. General admission is $35; VIP tickets are $50. Tickets are available online.
