Lifeguard chairs strung up in colorful lights will be displayed in Jacksonville Beach’s Latham Plaza this winter-and the next five winters after that-as the annual holiday event Jacksonville Beach Deck the Chairs becomes officially supported by the city. Deck the Chairs Executive Director Kurtus Loftus signed a five-year agreement with the city for the event in early September. In the agreement, Jacksonville Beach will reserve Latham Plaza and the Seawalk Pavilion for the event, waive city rental fees and provide additional funding for a sound system, signage, lighting and a metal storage building to hold event equipment during the off season.Source: Jacksonville.comUse the above source link to see the entire story!
