This project has been a labor of love for Lynn Voit. Although she doesn’t have any formal ties to Crane Point Museum, she does have tons of panache and a love for Marathon. “It’s a landmark everyone in Marathon can be proud of,” Voit said. “And everyone has had so much fun transforming this vision to fruition.” Voit and Crane Point Museum’s Charlotte Quinn hatched a plan to transform the vintage train car’s presence on U.S.1 to highlight the attraction’s entrance — landscaping, a new coat of paint, dramatic lighting.
