A hotel property that underwent a multimillion-dollar renovation has reopened. The former Shell Motel at 3030 Bayshore Drive in Fort Lauderdale is now the 24-room Ikona Hotel. Its recent upgrades have modernized its interior, and it is now part of the Gzella Collection, a group of boutique properties in the neighborhood.
