The foundations for the five Florida Hospitals in Volusia and Flagler counties will host the inaugural Pink Army motorcycle ride Sept. 27 to benefit breast cancer awareness, education and screenings.

Presented by Bright House Networks, the event will start at 9 a.m. with a breakfast at Florida Hospital Fish Memorial, 1055 Saxon Blvd, Orange City. At 11 a.m., the charity ride begins (cars are also welcome).

At noon, Pink Army flag raising party starts at Bruce Rossmeyer’s Daytona Harley-Davidson at Destination Daytona, 1637 North U.S. 1, Ormond Beach.

To participate, there is a $25 donation/registration fee and $10 per additional rider. Every penny of the proceeds raised by the Pink Army Ride will help fund mammograms and biopsies to aid in the early detection of breast cancer for local women in need.To register, visit PinkArmyRide.com or call 386-864-5756.
