Chris Evert knows how to raise a racquet for a good cause. The legendary tennis pro, who wowed audiences earlier this year with a cameo role in the movie “Trainwreck,” helped collect $600,000 during the 26th annual Chris Evert/Raymond James Pro-Celebrity Tennis Classic Nov. 20 to 22.

The money raised will benefit programs involved with Chris Evert Charities that are funded through the Ounce of Prevention Fund of Florida and the Drug Abuse Foundation of Palm Beach County.

In addition to the charity gala’s silent and live auctions at the Boca Raton Resort & Club, Evert also raised money on Charitybuzz.com, auctioning off signed guitars from Carly Simon and Sheryl Crow, meet and greets with Jane Lynch and Greta Van Susteren, a magic lesson from Penn & Teller and a live taping of “Saturday Night Live.”
