Fast Fact: The 23 mile loop is a favorite destination for anyone who enjoys a scenic drive. Cruise up the shore, beside salt water marshes, through canopies of oak trees and Spanish moss. Stop for a while to go fishing, visit a park or historic site. There is something here for everyone. But please respect the environment and leave nothing behind but your footprints. Many of the roadways that make up the loop are narrow and have minimal intrusion on the environment. Here, at this location the trees have given way to an open marsh.
