The southernmost point of the United States, Key West, stirs up great memories for many of us, from romantic and brilliantly sunset fueled honeymoons to luxurious cruises to awesome fishing trips for enormous silver tarpon or the elusive bonefish. One can just smell that salty air and feel the balmy air on their shoulders.

The Keys evoke thoughts of old-timey Florida history, Henry Flagler’s railroad, and Ernest Hemingway. While most folks do live on the most extreme and wonderful kind of island time in Monroe County where it’s always 5 o’clock somewhere, the Florida Keys–and especially Key West–are home to a thriving and colorful economy.

It’s not all bars and fishing boats though. When it comes to enjoying life, people in Key West have a clue. And now they have 3D printing too, thanks to Chad and Kelly Remmert, who have opened up a new shop called 3D Mini Me on the famous Front Street, which is sure to draw in plenty of relaxed folks vacationing away–as well as a sophisticated and tech savvy crowd. From educators to homeschooling families–from writers to artists–Key West is one creative town.
