Visitors heading to downtown West Palm Beach should have no problem ditching their cars. There are free trolleys, a bike-share program and pedestrian-friendly streets that make it easy to get around.But for officials, the city is only at the cusp of creating a downtown and surrounding neighborhoods where cars are scarce and people mainly get around by walking, biking and using public transportation.

So they’re turning to Copenhagen, one of the most bike-friendly cities in the world, to figure out how to create an environment where more people can abandon their cars.
