Castronovo’s Chocolate Factory recently added another award for quality of its bean-to-bar chocolates to its crowded trophy case, but this one differs from previous honors. Castronovo’s Dominican Republic 55 percent Dark Milk Chocolate won a 2017 Good Food Award last month in San Francisco. It was one of 11 chocolate makers honored, but the only one from the southeastern United States. The Stuart company’s previous awards were won in competitions strictly devoted to chocolate.
