Broward Gears Up for MLK Birthday Events

Fort Lauderdale’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration is heading downtown this year.Monday’s parade will begin on Sistrunk Boulevard in the city’s historically black Northwest community, but marchers then will head south on Andrews Avenue to Huizenga Plaza on the banks of the New River for a Celebration of Unity Multicultural Festival.
