An Atlanta businessman passed through Northeast Florida on Sunday as he raised money for the U.S. Navy SEALs.

Christian Fitzgerald and five other cyclists left Atlanta to travel the 586 miles to a museum dedicated to the Navy SEALs in Fort Pierce.

The team has already raised about $20,500. All proceeds will go to the Navy SEALs Foundation.

This isn’t Fitzgerald’s first trip to Fort Pierce to benefit the families of SEALs. About three years ago, Fitzgerald went on a tour of a Navy SEAL base and saw something he couldn’t believe.

“I was shown a room where pictures of SEALs covered the wall,” he said. “I was told that these were all of the SEALs that have been killed since the war on terror started. To be honest, I was stunned.”

The first two trips raised about $40,000.
