As Hurricane Irma Leaves, the Surfers Return to North Hutchinson Island Beaches

Claudia Comos, 61, looked hesitantly out at the pounding waves at Pepper Park Beachside. The Port St. Lucie resident drove to North Hutchinson Island on Tuesday to check out the surfing conditions, expecting them to be good the day after the Treasure Coast stop feeling the effects of Hurricane Irma. Both bridges to the barrier islands opened at noon.
