Amelia Island’s Fernandina Beach Draws Celebs to Old Florida Charm

Oprah, Kenny Chesney, Travolta, Sean Connery — all arrived by yacht at the river town of Fernandina Beach.You never know who you’re going to see on a boat pulling into the Fernandina Harbor Marina, which can accommodate yachts up to 250 feet long. Director John Sayles was so smitten with the town, he filmed Sunshine State, starring Edie Falco and Angela Bassett here in 2002.
