For the better part of 2020 we, as a people, have been asked to restrict our interaction and isolate ourselves from one another in an effort to limit the global spread of the COVID-19 virus – we, as a people, have not done a great job. Florida in particular is being ravaged by the virus and has recently passed the state of New York for number of active cases. Our hospital ER capacity (especially here in SoFL) is reaching and exceeding its limits, our medical personnel/resources are physically and emotionally depleted, hospitalizations are up nearly 40% since the beginning of the month and tragically now, the Sun Sentinel is reporting a Floridian dies from COVID roughly every 10 minutes. According to CDC guidance, travel increases the chance of getting and spreading this potentially deadly disease which makes it impossible for us to responsibly encourage this extraordinary community to get out and do more of what we love –  explore. We can however, do our part to protect each other by taking one small step – please wear a mask that covers your nose and mouth when you are interacting with anyone, anywhere – we really are all in this together and together, we as a people, can accomplish anything. Peace, Love & A1A…
