With two more right whale calves spotted Wednesday, nine calves have been sighted so far this right whale season, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Fisheries Southeast. Moms known as “Bocce” and whale #3130 were seen with their new calves off Amelia Island on Wednesday. Bocce is 13 years old. This is her second calf and #3130 is 20 years old. This is her third calf.
